University of Waterloo - STEMpowered Conference
Join us for the STEMpowered Conference happening on May 3rd-4th, 2025!
The conference is an exciting opportunity for self-identifying Black high school students to participate in hands-on workshops, explore the University of Waterloo, meet engineering students, work on design challenges, and experience life in residence!
What to expect:
Workshops: Learn more about the world of engineering through workshops discovering engineering careers and building STEM skills!
Design Challenge: After learning more about engineering, you will get the chance to be an engineer for a day by competing in a group design challenge!
· Residence Life: During the conference, you have the option to stay in a university residence. Get a taste of residence life and meet new people!
Application is required as limited space is available
Date: Saturday, May 3rd -Sunday, May 4th
Time: 9am on May 3rd - 4:30pm on May 4th
Location: University of Waterloo, Waterloo Campus
Cost: Free for self-identifying Black youth in grades 9-12
Applications open on December 2nd at 12pm EST
